Neglected for 30 years, a vacant, overgrown, trash strewn lot is transformed into a community peace park by the inspired efforts of Women Together/Mujeres Unidas. Formed in 2003 in response to youth violence in their Worcester, Massachusetts neighborhood, these women took a "crazy idea" and together proved that despite the odds it is possible to turn your vision into a reality.

Worcester, Massachusetts residents successfully pressured city officials to ask the television show Cops to stop filming in their city. Here is video of a rally against the Cops show held at City Hall on July 24, 2006. The rally was organized by youth, community, and clergy members. The crowd expresses its concern about the filming. They state that the show singles out vulnerable members of the community and could hurt community/police relations.
